Minutes -
During July's meeting we had several suggestions for Christmas and other celebration gifts. These included making pin cushion rings, sachets for shoes, embroidered or printed tea towels, heat pads and trivets, and mug rugs in holiday and team colors.
Senior Services -
Thank you all for your generous donations to date. Our focus for this month is on protein drinks (like Ensure and Boost) and protein bars. Other items are welcome as well.
We will be providing holiday gifts for Senior Services clients. Our goal is to make 100 Washcloth Travel Rolls. (The tutorial is on the May Chappell website.) There will be a Sew-In at Sew Original on Friday, September 6th starting at 5:00 pm. You may bring your own work or help with the travel rolls. In anticipation of this we will need:
- quality washcloths at least 10.5 inches square
- 5/8th inch grosgrain ribbon (neutral colors) A 1 yard cut is needed for each roll.
- Pellon SF 101 or other mid-weight fusible interfacing (1 yard makes 9 rolls)
- favorite fabrics, pieces no smaller than a 15 x 15 inches or yardage
You may bring the materials to the meeting or give a donation to the guild.
August Swap -
