Holiday Party this Tuesday

Our next meeting is our annual holiday party! We will have a fairly short business meeting and then enjoy our holiday snacks and holiday swap. Remember, you can bring a sweet or savory snack to share with everyone. Finger foods are best, but plates, napkins and all drinks will be provided by the guild.
The swap is also optional.  You can make any holiday decor items you would like that fits in a small paper lunch bag. Do your best! But remember, our guild is full of all level sewists!
We also encourage you to bring a donation for Senior Services!  You can bring common toiletry and household items. They love getting travel size toiletries. Canned and non-spoiling food are also great. We will collect cash and buy gift cards for them too!
See you Tuesday!

October Meeting featuring member Sarah Lowry

Our meeting, Tuesday night, will feature member Sarah Lowry and her "Improv" quilting technique.  Sarah has created some beautiful artistic quilts and will be sharing her quilts and her process with us.  Meeting will be at 6:30 at South Fork Community Center.

The raffle quilt was awarded at the September meeting.  Margie Lamb was the winner of the Lazy Sunday and Lee Monroe was the winner of the Day Break quilt.  Thank you to all members who participated in selling tickets.

The 2017  slate of officers was presented to the membership voting will take place at the October meeting:

  President, Lee Monroe
Co-Vise President, Liz  Bowen and  Amber Dietz
Secretary, Amy Shively
Treasurer, Sarah Lowry

Committee Chairs:
Raffle Quilt, Muriel Riggs
Swaps, Amanda Hinshaw
Charity Quilts, Sheri Collette and Ann Monroe

2017 Membership Drive is underway.  We are currently making plans for the 2017 program schedule and budgeting.  Please try to get your $25 dues paid by the November meeting.

I hope to have the package ready to mail out by July 5th so if you want to add to it but don't think you will have items ready by the meeting, just let me know.
