LQS Happenings

Hiya Quilters!
Don't forget this month's meeting is Tuesday, March 19 at Christ Church, 2252 Queen St, Winston-Salem, NC. Our program this month will be presented by the amazing Lisa Alley. Bring show and tell and any Senior Services quilts or tops you have! We always welcome visitors!

Beginner Applique on April 17, 24 and May 1 Learn to applique and make Denyse Schmidt's gorgeous Flowering Vines quilt while you're at it! Instructor: Kathleen Baden

Voile String Quilt, Saturday, April 13 & 20, 4-6:00
Voile makes the softest quilts! In this class, you will learn how to make a string block, as well as tips for sewing with voile. We will discuss fabric selection, color choices and foundation piecing. This is sure to be a quilt you want to keep for yourself! Instructor: Lee Monroe $50

Pretty Little Pouch, April 14, 4-6:00 The perfect little pouch for pencils or makeup! You will love making these for yourself or as gifts!! Don't fear the zipper, this is a very easy pouch to make! Instructor: Lee Monroe $25

Noodlehead 241 Tote, Sunday, April 21, 1-6:00 This adorable tote is the perfect size for everyday use! You'll learn bag construction and finishing techniques. It's as fun to make as it is to carry around town! Instructor: Lee Monroe $50

Beginning Quilting, May 11, 9-6 & May 12, 11-5:00 Want to learn to make a quilt? This class is for you! You'll learn all the basics- from cutting to piecing to locking your seams to sewing rows! You will make the quilt top in class. This class is for beginners or quilters looking to perfect their skills!! Prior sewing experience is suggested. Instructor: Lee Monroe $125

Understanding the Rainbow, April 13 & 20, 1-3:30 Want to learn different ways to put together colors for your quilt? This class is all about color! From learning basic combinations to trying out different ways to create a palette, you'll leave with a new understanding of color. During the second class, we will begin a wall hanging based on your newfound knowledge! Instructor: Lee Monroe $50

Baby Churn Dash, March 18, 25 and April 1 Are you a confident beginner? Ready to learn to make half square triangles? The adorable Churn Dash class is for you! Instructor: Kathleen Baden $75
