Meeting reminder and notes from July meeting


August - Sherri Collette: One of our members who has a long arm business will discuss the Do’s and Don’ts of Long Arm Quilting.  See you at South Fork Community Center Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 6:30 pm.

Notes from the July meeting:
The Forsyth Quilters Guild quilt show registration is in progress. See (link for blog entry) for more information.

The raffle quilt is finished and it is gorgeous! The pattern is All Squared Up by our very own “May Chappell”. Thanks to all who participated in organizing, piecing and quilting! Raffle tickets are available from guild members. They are $1 each or 6 for $5 (Can link blog entry about raffle quilt). Guild members are asked to sell at least $20 worth of tickets.

Upcoming meetings:
September – Bonnie Christine: A fabric designer with Art Gallery Fabrics will present the program.
Details on the program and workshop will follow.

The program was Christmas in July, with members sharing ideas for small items that would be suitable for fall and winter holiday gifts for those that appreciate handmade items. Some of the ideas were:
