News from The Junior Modern Quilt Guild of Broward County

Bethany Sharpton writes:
The Junior Modern Quilt Guild of Broward County is comprised of a group of teenagers who attend a high school about five miles from where 17 people were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The group is seeking a variety of donations, including 18-inch x 18-inch or 20-inch x 20-inch pillow case covers to give to survivors. A group of us plan to meet Saturday at Sewingly Yours to work on donations and would love as many helping hands as possible. If you are unable to attend, I will also accept donations of unfilled pillow cases at the next guild meeting to mail to the students in Florida. I also plan to get the students a gift card to purchase any necessary sewing/quilting supplies to help them with their endeavor. If you would like to pick up a prepaid Visa or Joann’s gift card, or contribute to the one I plan to purchase, please bring those donations to the next guild meeting. Let me know if you have any quests.
