Treasurer Report by Sarah Lowry:

            Current account balance $2,700.  Annual membership dues are $25

Community Report by Sheri Collette & Ann Monroe: (previously known as Charity)

            Senior Services selected again this year

            Goal: each member donate at least ONE quilt per member

                        Quilts are defined as small lap quilts for wall hangings or wheelchairs

            They also like Target gift cards. Last year we provided $150 in target gift

cards.  Fabric and batting are available.  Kits will be provided in the

future.

Swaps by Amanda Hinshaw:

            FOUR scheduled swaps this year:

                        1 – Coffee/tea: names exchanged – due at MARCH 28 meeting

                        2 – mini swap with another MQG – date TBD

                        3 – pillow exchange – date TBD

                        4 – Christmas gift exchange – NOVEMBER 28 meeting

Raffles by Lee Monroe (Muriel Riggs is the Raffle Chair):

            The RAFFLE quilt will be displayed at the July meeting. Tickets will be

available for sale until the raffle on November 28 at our Holiday Party.

Meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month (except December) at the South Fork Community Center

Next Meeting Tuesday January 24

Our next meeting is tomorrow, January 24 at 6:30. We will be talking about lots of exciting things for the upcoming year, including a few fun swaps, some community projects and our raffle quilt. The speaker will be Lee Monroe of www.MayChappell.com. She will be talking about tips and tricks for sewing and quilting.

Remember, our meetings are always the fourth Tuesday of the month.

Holiday Party this Tuesday

Our next meeting is our annual holiday party! We will have a fairly short business meeting and then enjoy our holiday snacks and holiday swap. Remember, you can bring a sweet or savory snack to share with everyone. Finger foods are best, but plates, napkins and all drinks will be provided by the guild.
The swap is also optional.  You can make any holiday decor items you would like that fits in a small paper lunch bag. Do your best! But remember, our guild is full of all level sewists!
We also encourage you to bring a donation for Senior Services!  You can bring common toiletry and household items. They love getting travel size toiletries. Canned and non-spoiling food are also great. We will collect cash and buy gift cards for them too!

TMQG November CHRISTMAS meeting

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our Christmas gathering, this Tuesday, November 22.  Bring an hors d'oeuvre to share.  Paper products and drinks will be supplied. We will have a gift exchange.  Please bring a handmade item that will fit in a lunch sized bag.  Fun, fellowship, and  show and tell, will kick start the holiday season. 

Our October meeting gave us a look at Improv Quilting, by member Sarah Lowry.  She had an awesome trunk show and inspired many of us to step out of the box. The following are her suggested references.
