Swap partners were assigned for our Favorite Animal swap. They are due in September. The work involved should take about a day.
Raffle Quilt –
Our raffle quilt is finished and it is beautiful! Tickets will be available soon. We are asking that each member sell at least $20.00 worth of tickets for the quilt. $1.00 per ticket, $5.00 for 6 tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn at our November holiday meeting.
Future Meetings -
Speaking of holidays, for the July 24th meeting, please bring a holiday themed item that one might make for a gift as a "show and tell". Including instructions for making the item would be appreciated! We will also have our annual ice cream social.
Program Notes -
At our last meeting, we hosted Moda Designer and author of 5 books, Amy Ellis. As a math lover she tries to re-imagine traditional blocks to make them Modern. She has set herself a creative challenge, to make 1 improv block a day for 100 days. She also is an editor of www.curatedquilts.com To learn more about Amy go to www.amyscreativeside.com
Dues note-
The National MQG has raised dues on a pro-rated scale. The dues for our number of members will about double. Consider how much you use the national website to decide if you wish to join the National MQG next year or be a local member only. Discussion on this will continue.
See you all next month!
