Basic Photography for Quilters--Learn to Take Amazing Quilt Photos with Kitty Wilkin

Hi Quilty friends! June is going by in a whir, and we have a very exciting and important workshop coming up on photographing quilts with Kitty Wilkin. We still need a few more quilters--remember that non-TMQG members are welcome! Included in this post are some details about the time, location and the supply list.

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to take better pictures of your quilts, you want to promote your quilts or business more effectively, if the idea of photographing your quilts in a beautiful and historic location sounds like a jolly good time, or if you simply want to take a class involving quilts that doesn’t require a extensive supply list,… this is your class! Take a look at Kitty’s photograph of our very own Lee Monroe’s Georgia’s Dresden Quilt below… the proof is in the pudding!

If you want to learn more about Kitty’s work and see some beautiful quilt photography, check her out at nightquilter.com or on Instagram @nightquilter. You can also see a description of Kitty's class in her own words at the original blog post: http://triadmodernquiltguild.blogspot.com/2019/05/kitty-wilkin-photography-workshop.html

This is an amazing opportunity—Kitty is a national speaker who has taught at QuiltCon. Don’t miss this opportunity to take her class--this may be your last chance for a while!

Time and location: 9:30-4:30 at Salem Stitches in Old Salem. Yes, we will get to photograph our quilts within striking distance of the home some delicious Moravian sugar cake!

Cost: $95 members, $105 non-members (remember: this is a 6-hour class!)

Supplies
