Triad MQG Sew In

Join us for a Sew In at Sewingly Yours (1329 Clemmons Road, Lewisville, NC) on Friday March 29.  It starts at 5 pm, but feel free to come by later.  We will be working on our two raffle quilts and various donation quilts for Senior Services, or you can work on your own project.  Please bring your sewing machine and food to share.   There will be tasks for all skill levels, so don't be shy.

Kim Lapacek is Coming!

We are thrilled to have Kim Lapacek of Persimon Dreams join us! Wildly Careening Lecture: Tuesday, May 28, 6:30 $5 at the door Dresden Neighborhood Half Day Workshop: Wednesday, May 29, 9:30-2 Pull out your fun scraps and turn them into a unique Dresden Neighborhood! We'll put a whimsical 'twist' on the traditional Dresden Plate, cutting, piecing, applique and stitching to make an adorable wall hanging! Once you learn Kim's techniques, you'll never look at a traditional block the same way. Both events will be held at South Fork Community Center on Country Club Road.

Meeting minutes for February 26, 2019 and March meeting reminder

Senior Services - our community support project

For March, our focus is skin care.  Please consider donating lotions, lip balm, and moisturizers for our project.   Also, people asked to be reminded of sizes for throws and lap quilts.  48-60 by 48-60 seems to be a good range to accommodate people of all sizes.

Raffle Quilt launch

TMQG members will be at Sewingly Yours for a sew in on Friday March 29^th at 5:00 pm.  If you would like to assist with making the raffle quilts, if you want to work on your quilts for donation, (or just on your quilts) please join us for an evening of sewing.  Please bring food to share!

February 26^th Meeting

Speakers mentioned a few of the many charity sewing projects that are available for sewists.  These include Ryan’s Cases for Smiles, sewing for babies in the hospital, and Little Dresses for Africa.
