Raffle Ticket Sales at the Forsyth Piecers and Quilters Quilt Show

The TMQG is selling raffle tickets for our raffle quilt at the Forsyth Piecers and Quilters Guild Quilt Show.  This event takes place on November 2-3, 2018 at the Gateway YWCA at 1300 Main St in Winston Salem.

Several people have signed up to sell tickets during slotted times.  They are:

Note that we still have slots open.  And the tickets you sell during the Quilt show count towards chances on the swag bag donated by Lee Monroe (20 tickets sold per chance.)

Volunteer Opportunities

Remember Senior Services!  We have fabric and batting available for making lap quilts. 

Quilt Raffle

We have a beautiful quilt made and raffle tickets available for sale.  We ask that each member sell at least 20 tickets.  For each 20 tickets sold, the member will receive 1 chance for an exclusive swag bag from our own Lee Monroe.

Member Dues

Dues for 2018 will be $40.  If you pay in October, you name will be put with the September dues payers for a fat quarter set drawing.

Coming Programs

The October meeting will be a round robin of member demonstrations.  We will also have the pin cushion swap.  If you brought a pin cushion, you will receive a pin cushion. 

The November meeting will be our Holiday gathering.  It will be a pot luck and decoration swap.  If you wish to be part of the swap, please bring a holiday decoration that you would be pleased to receive.  There will be 3 “time invested” categories in which you may participate:

a) less than one day’s effort

b) about one day’s effort

c) more than one day’s effort

September Meeting

Unfortunately, the home of our guest speaker was visited by a stomach illness.  Instead of a trunk show, we had very spirited games of Left, Right, Center.  Winners went home with fat quarters to add to their stash.
